As we navigate the world of small business today, it's always nice to get a little perspective from our peers who have some "been there, done that" experience. USA Today recently shared the results of a Bank of the West survey in which 504 small business owners were asked what they would do differently if they could go back in time. Can you guess the number one answer? Of all who were surveyed, 32% said they'd do more marketing/promotion. The next three responses in order of popularity: hire the right person instead of a friend/family member (24%), have the right tax/legal support (19%) and invest in enough technology (15%). How about you? Can you relate to any of these reactions or is there something else that you'd do differently?
