Visit nearly any public place and a quick look around confirms it: more and more people are hopping on their mobile devices to engage. But how much growth is really happening? In a new research report from BoldChat, the percentages reported for mobile engagement frequency were studied from 2014 to 2015 in eight different areas and the numbers went up for all. The study considers how mobile devices are used in both support and mCommerce situations, including billing help, account changes and post-purchase inquiries. The areas with the most growth? There was a 17% increase in terms of people using mobile devices to research products and services and a 12% increase in actual purchases.The way mobile is being adapted varies across industries, but as with other consumer habits, it's important to keep an eye on the trends.
