Whether they're big or small with global or local operations, most businesses understand that customer relationships have indescribable value. For small business owners (SBOs) in particular, eMarketer recently reported some interesting findings. When asked what SBOs' top business concerns were for 2015, finding new customers was cited by 66% of respondents while retaining existing ones was high on the list for 40%. So what do SBOs see as the best way to drive repeat business once a new customer is on board? It's not having a prime location for bringing in traffic (11%), the lowest prices (11%) or a customer loyalty program (10%). The key to return business is establishing customer relationships according to 57% of survey participants. Looking to drum up some new business of your own? Perhaps a look at your current customer base is the best place to start.
