“What’s the best time to post social content?” is a common question we hear from marketers. While there’s no easy answer to this as it varies from channel to channel, a recent report from CoSchedule sheds some new light. We took a look at three of the biggies and here’s what we found. For Facebook, the best days to post are Thursday through Sunday in the early afternoon, with engagement rates increasing 18% to 32% during this stretch. As for Twitter, Wednesday takes the top spot, with peak posting times from 12-3 p.m. and then again at 5 p.m. as the end-of-day commute begins. And LinkedIn? There’s a mid-week surge of interaction from Tuesday through Thursday, with engagement levels going up at various times throughout the day. In the grand scheme of things, there’s really no right or wrong time to post social content, but there are some windows where you may find more clicking, sharing and overall activity. You can do some experimenting, too, and see what days/times are popular with your audience.
