Even though so many marketing efforts have an online focus today, the traditional Super Bowl TV ads are still as highly anticipated as ever. There’s typically that “go big” feel as brands try to pull out all the stops with their commercials. Many of the ads we see will be tied to social campaigns with re-posts and hashtags galore. That translates to added brand exposure and extra mileage for those multi-million-dollar spots. Another big strategy? Create some buzz. This is the prime time for marketers to reveal a new ad in a series or give a sneak peek of what’s to come. Crowdsourcing has also evolved as a strategy.
